My Plant
Responding to the TDC International Plant Appreciation Day I’ve had this ivy-like plant for almost six years, and it’s grown so much since I first brought it home. What started as a small houseplant has now become part of my room. It has actually grown through the bookshelf! I never planned for it to happen, but now I couldn’t imagine moving it without disturbing it.
I don’t notice my plant changing day to day, but when I look back at old photos or remember how small it used to be, the difference is incredible. It has been with me through high school, graduation, and now university.

Meet Dave
Responding to the TDC Create a Blob and Give it a Name I created my blob, drew a little face and Dave was born! He might not have much going on behind those tiny eyes, but he always looks happy to be here. I imagine Dave spends his days enjoying snacks, sunshine, and avoiding responsibility whenever possible. Creating this little blob reminded me that creativity doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes it’s fun to make something completely random and let your imagination fill in the rest.

A Meaningful Object
The most meaningful object I chose is a tennis bracelet that my mom gave me for my high school graduation. Every time I wear it, I’m reminded of all of the hard work that led up to graduation and the excitement I felt about starting university. Since it was a gift from my mom, it also reminds me of her support and encouragement throughout my education and is something I’ll always treasure.
