Post 3 – Zoe Kinvig

Hi Zoe!

I loved reading your post because instead of just identifying barriers you also provide solutions for overcoming these barriers and making the activity more inclusive. I really liked your point that a 24 hour notification shutdown may not be realistic for all learners. Since some students may rely on notifications for work, family responsibilities, accessibility support, or mental health check-ins. Your suggested alternatives are perfect examples of UDLs!

I also thought your idea of providing a tracking template was a great addition. As someone who is really bad at tracking and managing their screen time, I can definitely relate to forgetting to monitor habits consistently throughout the day. I think your post does a really good job of demonstrating how small design changes can reduce barriers and create a more equitable learning experience for all different types of learners!
